Tatyana Thulien

Entertainer

Tatyana Thulien, a public figure, a journalist, and a musician, who hails from Kiev, Ukraine, received her vocal training from the Crimean Chamber Singing Academy and Kiev State Conservatory. She appeared on various stages: Belk Theater, Festa Italiana Charlotte, Tosco Music Party, Ciao Italia, Davidson College, International House of Charlotte, UNC Charlotte, Sevastopol Drama Theater, Minneapolis Sister Cities series, Oregon Slavic Arts Festival. Most recently, Tatyana was a part of the Mozart’s Requiem performance (St. Madeleine Cathedral, Paris), Andrea Bocelli’s Anniversary concert at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and became a laureate of the 2024 Charleston International Music Competition.


Tatyana has been a member of the Opera Carolina for 14 years and appeared in 20+ grand opera productions. She is also a dedicated pedagogue, whose students show prominent results. Tatyana is a recipient of the Appalachian State University award “For Excellent Teaching”. In 2024, two of her students became “Kids of the World” Festival laureates.  With 20+ years of instruction, writing and music, Tatyana divides her time between teaching, contributing to the media platforms and singing.
