Our Cause

St. Anthony Foundation of Charlotte is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organizations that supports other non-profit organizations who missions to directly help people with disabilities. Our Foundation conducts an annual fundraising event inspired by the Boston-area Italian immigrate traditions of the Voci family (from Calabria), Puopolo family (from Puglia) and Mangino family (from Campania).


In 2006, FESTA ITALIANA Charlotte was curated as an Italian Food & Wine relaxed feast where contributors could enjoy Italian cuisine and make a charitable donation to a community partner. The event has evolved from 40 guest (during its inception) to 600 affulent guest who attend to experience the beauty of Italian culture and cuisine in this unique fundraising event.

Our Impact

For the past 20 years, FESTA ITALIANA Charlotte has raised over $300,000 to benefit Nevins of Charlotte (a respected 501c3 that provides person-centered care to adults over the age of 16 with disabilities). Nevins has been one of our foundations biggest charity beneficiary, with 100% of the contributions raised going to this stellar orgnaiation.


Funds have been used to purchase Passenger Vans (to transport  participants to community events and employment programing), conduct capital projects to their facility (including roof replacement and new HVAC units) and purchasing new computers and make software upgrades.


We are proud of the contribution that our foundation has made to this organization and its participants.

Nevins aims to improve our society and workplace culture through community-based employment of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Vision

The organization provide intellectual and developmentally disabled people over the age of 16 with opportunities to achieve their fullest potential through employment and community involvement.
