Majid Amoorpour, pastry chef and owner of The Everyday Market.
Majid has lead baking and pastry in Charlotte at Dean & DeLuca. He found the opportunity to do so in his role as pastry chef at Noble’s Restaurant for a few years, then by working at restaurants in Chicago and in the United Kingdom, where he spent about a year at each.
He returned to Charlotte and joined Café Monte, followed by operating Bistro La Bon in Plaza-Midwood, and currently The Everyday Market.

Husband-and-wife team Taylor Kastl and Steve McGinley are behind that The Teal Turnip located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Charlotte. Both are chefs who graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte.

Suzanne is a native of Georgia where her love of food and cooking was inspired by watching her grandmother make biscuits from scratch. She first pursued a career in medicine but found she could not resist the pull of the kitchen and graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC. She loves all types of cuisine and finds inspiration across all traditions, though she may have a special fondness for Southern (her roots) and Italian.
